Collections
Arrange saved messages, images and links into collections, like recipes, things to read or a trip plan. Everything in one place instead of scattered across ten conversations.
Plazer helps you find a community worth talking in and people you have not met yet: in the server directory, in a random chat, nearby, and even where there is no signal. Every time, you decide how much of yourself you show.
A member count tells you how many people once clicked "join". The Plazer directory shows how many of them actually write and talk, so you see straight away where things are alive and where only empty channels are left.

One spin shows you a server you would never have found on your own. You look around without joining, and if you like it, you stay.
The roulette picks from active servers in the directory. You will not land in an abandoned place whose last message is a year old.
Spins have a daily limit. That keeps the roulette a way of discovering things rather than one more endless scroll that eats your evening.
Sometimes you just want to talk to someone. Plazer connects you with a person who speaks the same language and shares your interests, and you can end the chat at any moment.
Tick a few interests. The chat language comes from your app settings, so you will not end up with someone you cannot understand.
You are paired with someone who is looking for a chat at the same moment, speaks your language and has similar interests.
If the conversation clicks, you send a friend request. If it does not, you end it in one move and can block that person.
Random chats have a daily limit, just like the roulette. Meeting someone new should feel like an event, not a conveyor belt you scroll forever.
You can see who around you also uses Plazer and be visible to them yourself. The radius starts at 1 km and nobody receives your exact position.

Others see that you are somewhere around them, not which street or which building. Instead of a dot, their map shows an area you could be in.
The smallest radius is one kilometre. You can widen it when you are looking for people across the whole city, but you cannot narrow it below a kilometre.
Someone nearby cannot jump straight into your chats. Their message waits in message requests, like one from any stranger, and you decide whether to reply.
Who can message you, who can invite you and the spam filter apply to people nearby too. Someone you blocked cannot message you from here either.
Plug a small LoRa transmitter into your phone and keep writing without internet and without a mobile network. The message travels by radio straight to the other phone, and with a relay it covers up to a dozen or so kilometres.
Adding someone as a friend takes a second, and after that you decide how you arrange them and who you share photos with.
You meet in person, scan the code on the other phone and you are friends. No spelling out usernames letter by letter.
Group your friends your way, and they do not know which circle they are in. A shared circle that everyone can see only exists when all its members agree.
Photos from a trip or a gig go into one album that everyone adds to. You tag people in them, so everyone finds themselves easily.
A shared place just for the two of you, with your photos, notes and conversation. It is created when both people agree.
Plazer helps you hold on to what matters and does not let the app take more of your time than you want to give it.

Set your own daily limit for using the app and see stats on how much time you spend in it. When the limit runs out, Plazer lets you know, and what happens next is up to you.
The most common doubts before you turn on nearby visibility or start your first random chat.
No. People nearby only see that you are somewhere around them, within at least a kilometre. Your exact position never reaches other users.
The stats come from how many people on the server have been writing and talking recently, not from the number of accounts that once joined. That is why empty accounts cannot pump them up.
So that discovering stays a pleasure rather than a habit. The limit renews every day.
No. You need a LoRa transmitter plugged into the phone on both ends of the conversation. Over longer distances a relay placed higher up helps.
No. Circles are your private way of ordering things. A shared circle that everyone can see only exists with the consent of every person in it.
Their message lands in message requests. You reply if you want to, and if not, you delete the request or block that person.
